Step 1: Assembling the Legs

The first step in your sofa assembly is securing the legs. These provide the foundation for your L-shaped sectional, so it’s important to ensure they are properly attached.

  1. Start by attaching two legs to opposite sides of the sofa frame. Use the 16 screws (Part N) provided in your hardware kit to secure the legs in place. Make sure each leg is attached tightly to the frame.
This is an important step, as loose legs could affect the overall stability of the sofa.
  2. Move to the other two sides of the frame and attach the remaining two legs. Again, secure them with the same screws (Part N) and ensure each leg is tightened properly.
  3. Continue attaching the next set of legs, ensuring that they are all placed securely.
  4. Finish by securing the final set of legs, making sure each one is properly tightened.

Note: To tighten the screws, use the wrench included in your kit. This will ensure that each screw is fully tightened and that your sofa has a sturdy base.

Step 2: Connecting the Seat Frames

Once the legs are in place, the next step is to connect the seat frames. The sectional sofa is made up of multiple frames, and proper alignment here is key for a strong and comfortable structure.

  1. Take the right Seat Frame (Part A) and connect it to the middle Seat Frame (Part C). Use the designated inserts as shown in the diagram for a secure connection.
  2. Next, connect the left Seat Frame (Part B) to the middle Seat Frame (Part C) in the same manner, using the inserts.
  3. Check that all frames are properly aligned before fully tightening. This ensures the frames are joined securely.

Tip: Be sure to handle the inserts carefully. They are designed to lock the frames together tightly, which is crucial for the overall stability of the sofa.

Step 3: Assembling the Backrests

The backrests provide support for the cushions and enhance the sofa’s comfort. This step involves attaching them to the seat frames.

  1. Attach the backrests (Part E) to the seat frames using the Screws (3) and Washers (1). Tighten each screw with the Wrench (4). The backrests are typically designed to snap into place with screws for added stability.
  2. Start by securing the top screws of each backrest first, followed by the bottom screws. This ensures that the backrests stay aligned during installation.
  3. After securing the screws, attach the Velcro pieces to the backrests. This helps in keeping the cushions in place and adds to the overall stability.

Tip: Ensure that all screws are in place and securely tightened before sitting on the sofa. If any screws are loose, it can cause instability, affecting the overall safety and comfort.

Step 4: Removal of Compression Bags for Seat Cushions

Your cushions arrive compressed in bags to save space during shipping. Now it’s time to expand them to their full size.

  1. Take the Seat Cushion (right) (Part F). Cut open the compression bag carefully, and gently pat the cushion to help it expand evenly.
  2. Move on to the left Seat Cushion (Part G). Similarly, cut open the compression bag and pat the cushion until it reaches its full shape.
  3. Do the same for the Backrest Cushion (Part H). Cut the compression bag and gently pat the cushion to ensure it fluffs up completely.
  4. Lastly, remove the compression bag from the Ottoman cushion (Part I) and repeat the process, gently patting the cushion as it expands.

Tip: Allow the cushions to fully expand over a 72-hour period for optimal comfort. Rushing the process can result in uneven cushions, which might affect comfort.

Step 5: Placing the Cushions on the Sofa

Now that the cushions are ready, it’s time to arrange them on the frame.

  1. Remove the Velcro protective cloth from the cushions to expose the Velcro strips.
  2. Place the Seat Cushions (Parts F, G, H, I) into their designated positions on the sofa. Each cushion is designed to fit into a specific slot for a perfect fit.
  3. Place the Backrest Cushions (Parts E, J) onto the backrest area. Ensure the cushions align perfectly with the frame for a clean, stylish look.
  4. Before sitting on the sofa, double-check all screws and cushion placements. This ensures the sofa is securely assembled and ready for use.

Step 6: Connecting the Armrest Pillows

For added comfort and style, the L-Shaped Convertible Sectional Sofa includes armrest pillows. These add both a soft touch and extra support.

  1. Take the Armrest Pillows (Parts K & L) and attach them to the Seat Cushions (Parts F & G) using the zippers provided. The zippers are designed for easy attachment and removal.
  2. Zip the armrest pillows securely onto the Seat Cushions. Ensure that the zippers are fully closed to avoid any slipping or shifting while using the sofa.
