Step 1: Attach the Chair Backrest to the Chair Seat Panel

  1. Stand the Chair Seat Panel (2) upright on a flat surface so the panel is perpendicular (vertical) to the floor, with the pre-drilled holes facing outward.
  2. Position the Chair Backrest (1) next to the seat panel and align the three side holes on the backrest with the matching holes on the edge of the seat panel.
  3. Prepare the fasteners for each connection:
    • Insert one Spring Washer (B) and one Flat Washer (C) onto one M6 × 40mm Hex Bolt (A).
  4. Insert the bolts through the seat panel into the backrest (3 bolts total).
  5. Hand-tighten first to keep the parts aligned.
  6. Use the Allen Key (D) to tighten the bolts evenly, alternating between them to keep the backrest straight and flush.

Step 2: Connect the Left and Right Leg Frames with the Spindle

  1. Place the Left Leg Frame (3) and Right Leg Frame (4) upside down on a flat surface, keeping them parallel and spaced apart.
  2. Insert the Spindle (5) between the two leg frames, aligning the holes on each end of the spindle with the holes on the inner sides of the leg frames.
  3. Insert one Barrel Nut (G) into the round opening on each side of the spindle. Make sure the barrel nut hole is aligned with the bolt path.
  4. Slide one M6 × 50mm Hex Bolt (F) through each leg frame and into the barrel nut inside the spindle.
  5. Hand-tighten both bolts first to keep the spindle centered.
  6. Use the Allen Key (D) to tighten both bolts securely, alternating sides to ensure even alignment.

Important:
Confirm that the spindle sits straight between the leg frames before fully tightening. This connection provides structural stability for the chair, so ensure both bolts are firmly secured.

Step 3: Attach the Seat and Backrest Assembly to the Leg Frame

Instruction manual diagram showing six screws being used to secure a chair seat panel to the leg frame.

  1. Turn the leg frame assembly upside down, with all four legs pointing upward and the spindle centered.
  2. Lower the assembled Chair Seat Panel (2) with the attached Chair Backrest (1) onto the leg frame, aligning the pre-drilled holes on the underside of the seat panel with the mounting holes on the leg frames.
  3. Insert the Screws (E) through the leg frame brackets and into the seat panel (6 screws total), as shown in the diagram.
  4. Hand-tighten all screws first to ensure the seat is properly aligned on the frame.
  5. Use the Allen Key (D) to tighten all six screws evenly, alternating between sides to keep the seat level and centered.

Repeat the all above steps to assemble the remaining chairs.

FAQs

1. Are wooden dining chairs comfortable for everyday use?

Yes, wooden chairs are comfortable for everyday use, especially with contoured designs or cushions. Well-made wood chairs provide good support for regular meals. For extended sitting, add padded seat cushions for extra comfort.

2. Are wooden dining chairs better than metal chairs?

Neither is better, it depends on your needs. Wood offers warmth and timeless style, while metal provides durability and modern aesthetics. Choose based on your décor preference and budget.

3. Can wooden dining chairs be used on hardwood floors?

Yes, but attach felt pads to the chair legs to prevent scratches. These protectors also reduce noise and help chairs glide smoothly. Without them, you risk damaging both chairs and floors.
