FAQs
An office chair should be adjusted so your feet rest flat on the floor and your knees sit at a 90–100° angle. Your thighs should remain parallel to the ground while your elbows align comfortably with desk height. Proper adjustment supports healthy posture and reduces strain during long work sessions.
A well-built office chair generally lasts between 7–10 years with regular daily use. Its lifespan depends on frame strength, foam density, and the durability of the tilt and height mechanisms. Routine maintenance can help extend comfort and structural performance over time.
Office chairs usually sink because the gas lift cylinder has worn out and can no longer hold pressure. Replacing the cylinder is the most effective long-term fix. Choosing a model with a heavy-duty gas lift helps prevent the issue from recurring.
