Bird Cages
Aosom.com features affordable bird cages that combine quality and affordability. Wood and metal designs of various sizes are available to meet your aviculture needs. Avian enclosures are an important part of bird keeping. Make sure to consult an expert or trusted resource to make sure you choose the type of cage or enclosure that will work well for the species of bird and the number of birds you plan to keep.
Outdoor birdcages and aviaries are designed to handle normal weather changes and have a water repellant roof. They usually have more room for your feathered friends to move or flit about in. Indoor birdcages are often cheap (no pun intended) compared to larger outdoor cages, and good for integrating into your home. Perches are great for parrots and macaws – move them around to conveniently spend time together.
A feature you will want to look for is a removable tray on the bottom that pulls out for easier cleaning of the droppings. Look for the way a cage is designed and imagine how you might want to place your perches and feeding and drinking cups. Some models come with as many as 8 feed cups, which is especially helpful if you are taking care of more than one bird. If you are caring for birds that might be looking to escape, consider a cage that has multiple access doors. Some models have as many as 10 different doors. This allows for access for easier, feeding watering and cleaning with less concern for your pets to escape because you are accessing the area closest to where you need to reach.
