Once assembled, I used a level to square and plumb the uprights and I used wood screws and fender washers to firmly attach it to my wood deck.
The day after I set this up there was a terrible windstorm (of course) with winds in excess of 40mph for 8 straight hours and gusts exceeding 70mph. I thought for sure this thing was gonna be history a day after I set it up, but, no, since that event we've had 2 other storms, not as bad, but still very high winds, and this gazebo hasn't budged.
My only complaint concerns the grommets and their placement for water to not build up on the canopy. So far, it seems that they are placed too far towards the middle to do their job; particularly on the long sides. I've already had rainwater build up and start to sag the edges. This is a design flaw that could be fixed by either adding more weep-holes or by placing the current ones closer to the edge. I plan on adding my own later.
The canopy material was surprisingly thicker than I thought it would be and seems durable. The welds don't look that great and could certainly be better, but they have held up fine so far. Put away
