When is Black Friday this year?

Black Friday is the day following Thanksgiving Day in the United States. This year, Black Friday falls on Friday 26th, November, 2021.

However, many retailers begin offering deals from the start of the month, leading some to rename it,“Black November”.

The day is regarded as the beginning of the United States Christmas shopping season since 1952. Many retails offer sales and discounts so that shoppers are enticed to buy gifts for the December Holidays, on Black Friday, so it is one of the busiest shopping days of the year.

Aosom will prepare lots of deals and gifts for you, in advance, which makes you experience a better December. Awesome does this not only on Black Friday. Subscribe Aosom to get more deals!

Why is it called Black Friday?

The most convincing theory is that the term Black Friday comes from when retailers go from being in the red (at a loss) in their business for the year, to going into the black (profitable), thus showing how important the end-of-the-year holidays shopping season is to most retailers.

For many years, it was common for retailers to open at 6:00 a.m., but in the late 2000s many had crept to 5:00 a.m. or 4:00 a.m. As retail sales continue to migrate to the Internet and even all over the world sales and deals can start at any time during the Black Friday period.

Since the start of the 21st century, there have been attempts by retailers, with origins in the United States, to introduce a retail "Black Friday" to other countries around the world. At Aosom, thousands of items are prepared for you to pick!

When does Black Friday end?
You can take advantage of the special discounts until the following Monday after Thanksgiving, called Cyber Monday. This neologism was invented in 2005 by the National Retail Federation and refers to the Monday immediately following Black Friday, based on a trend that retailers began to recognize in 2003 and 2004. Retailers noticed that many consumers, who were too busy to shop over the Thanksgiving Weekend, or did not find what they were looking for, shopped for bargains online that Monday from home or work. If you like online shopping, this is not to be missed!
