Like many reviews we purchased for our RV. Agree the instructions leave a lot to be desired. Noted one video review had the arm rests installed backwards. As for the base being plastic, it is not. The frame is wood but the swivel base on the bottom is plastic. An inexpensive alternative, but it works, The chairs are light and easy to move. We easily secure them with a strap around the table stanch[on for travel. They are too low for table dining but we just bring in camping chairs. By swiveling... Overall, this chair is okay, but a bit low.
This chair is a bit too low. There is no height adjustment function.
