Ottoman is not separate
This is a nice chair that seems to be well constructed. I put it together myself in less than an hour. It comes mostly assembled already, just the legs and arms to attach. The arms were a bit tricky in that they have to be balanced, and attached on the inside of the frame. This is one of those pieces that uses allen wrenches to tighten the bolts and those are hard on my hands. A few of them are in tight corners where it's hard to turn. It just looks a bit odd next to my other furniture which tends to be oversized. The one thing that I didn't realize is that this is a true chaise - in that the ottoman is attached to the seat. You cannot separate them because there are only 3 sets of legs. In fact, it's attached with a hinge to allow it to be folded up for transport. I bought this chair specifically for an elderly relative to sit on because it was lower to the ground and easier for her to get in and out of - except the attached ottoman defeats that purpose. Beautiful
I recently moved from a 3 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom condo. I didn't want to make the 2nd bedroom into a dedicated bedroom with a full-sized bed, so I needed something to sleep on when my kids and their families come home. I bought this piece because it turns from a chaise into a bed. It is a beautiful piece.
