A little wind and off it goes
This company has great customer service. We had a rivet missing and they sent us a new unit. We installed it today and there are a few issues with this umbrella. I’ll share the cons and pros in that order.ConsFirst, it doesn’t have a strap to tie the umbrella fabric up when closed. Every umbrella has this, close it up and tie it. So this one will just swing in the wind and looks messy. Maybe we will get used to that or have to put some jerry-rigged looking bungee cord around it. Next, the base could... First, it doesn’t have a strap to tie the umbrella fabric up when closed. Every umbrella has this, close it up and tie it. So this one will just swing in the wind and looks messy. Maybe we will get used to that or have to put some jerry-rigged looking bungee cord around it.
Next, the base could use a couple rubber covers over the ends so you don’t lose a toenail if you accidentally kick it. Which you will, because the longer part needs to be out where the umbrella is for balance.
Lastly we used a water filled umbrella base as all it takes is a little wind for this thing to become airborne and take someone out or damage something. We live near the coast and there is always wind.
PROS: The price was good.
The service was good.
It’s a Giant umbrella and will provide plenty of share and we can even move it so the cantilever arm is over the pool if we need to. Put away
