Great for road trips.
This fit perfectly in the back seat of my car. My kitty was very happy inside during our 2 day road trip and she also likes to sleep in it at home.

I moved my cat from California to North Carolina in this!
My cat spent all day inside this in my car, and I really liked that it was large enough to give her a place to hang out AND there was still plenty of room for a small litter box. She basically slept her way across the states. And when we got here I just folded it up and put it away to save for the next trip.

1300 mile drive to our new home... 2 cats who don't do well with drives... now they love being in the car. No joke... this carrier was a life saver for our big move. These kitties spent the whole time napping, stretched out and at peace. Anytime we bring the carrier out now they both jump in no issues. Highly recommend this if you have a long drive ahead of you or even just for vet visits. It allows them to have so much room to stand up and stretch. Pleased with purchase.
My cat seems to be much more comfortable in this carrier than his regular carrier and therefore meows a bit less when he is in this one. I use this one for car rides. It is rather large and IMO not as practical to use if you will need to carry your animal for a long distance (carry the carrier that is). The bottom of it is not as firm as metal or plastic carriers, but is sturdy enough that my 15 lbs. cat remains in it comfortably and is not hurt when I am carrying him to the car. For the purpose... If there were any changes I would like made it would be to perhaps have some time of addition that one could remove that could help protect the pet inside in the event of a car accident. In my opinion, the only real con of this carrier is it doesn't offer as much protection as a harder surfaced carrier (plastic, metal, etc). I try and compensate by making sure I am extra careful when my pet is in the car with me. Lastly, my cats are too large to use the hammocks I believe. I think a kitten could use them however. The quietest my cat has ever been in a car
I purchased this to transport two cats from Atlanta to Los Angeles in my backseat. They are both VERY vocal in carriers and even more in cars. I left the open carrier on my bed for the week before the trip and was pleased to see that they were both using it for sleep. The carrier was spacious and easy to access from all angles. It snapped together easily, connected to the seatbelt without issue, and withstood my kitten's attempts to claw his way out. The adult cat sat calmly in her hammock the entire time, not a peep the entire 36 hours on the road. Once we arrived at our destination, it was easy to snap the carrier apart and separate the kitties to bring them upstairs to their new home. I was surprised to see that they had actually used the litterbox as they would normally be too stressed. The mess was minimal -- the soft pads and hammocks vacuumed up easily and the litterbox had stayed in place without incident. Put away
