Easy to assemble planter box
I purchased this to make a raised veggie garden (on sale), the over all assembly was very easy probably because I had a drill. There were small holes on the side planks which made it easy to put the screws in and align. I would have given this bed a 5 star but didn’t only because the wood is very sharp and I got a lot of splinters trying to assemble this planter box. Also the delivery took longer than expected, probably because I was anxious to get this planter. But for cost comparison for buying... But for cost comparison for buying this vs building the bed yourself , it’s more or less the same cost with less of a hassle to build and cut the wood. Just for numbers to make a (42” x 42” x 11/12”) planter box. Home Depot -2x4 cedar planks (come in 8ft) -x4 - $25 each = $100 -2x4 for middle support strips - 1 plank cut into strips -$25 - wood deck screws - $10 -optional - filter cloth / landscaping fabric - $15 a rollSo just in material cost your already at - $150 then you need to factor in the labour to assemble this. Additionally it will take about - 16/18 bags of 28kg soil to fill this box - so another $150-$200 depending on what soil you decide on using. So If you buy this on sale it is 100% worth it! Put away
