Shade or no shade
Product looks great but canvas has to have tab anchored in folded position in windy weather as it will move whole frame. We applied a clip so can clip canvas open or fold back. Very pleased w product.

Overall - Like It So Far
1. Received everything I was supposed to 2. Bonus a few screws/bolts (did not use them but nice when they include them - just in case) 3. Assembly Instructions (terrible) 4. Overall build quality seems good for the price point 5. As light as this unit is, I would for sure recommend anchoring it!

Nice looking and holds up well.
we have had this for over 2 years now and it’s still holding up! I purchased this in April and wanted to wait a while before I wrote a review. We live in a very windy area and this has held up for 7 months so far. The legs do seem to want to bend or buckle if the wind gets really bad, but we just go out and push it back in place. We have ours secured to our patio by using flower pots that are filled with sand and rocks for decoration. Assembly was not a fun time, but doable with two people - although... Works for a small area.
It went together easier than I thought it would. Everything lined up right. Every time the wind blows the end 2 pieces to the canapy came apart so duct tape to the rescue. Considering the extreme cost of these this one works for what I needed it for at a good price. I may purchase a second one to put in a more closed in area that's not affected by the wind.

aluminum, won't rust. Fabric, most probably, will deteriorate in a couple of years since it is synthetic, but I hope it will be available on Aosom to buy as a spare part.Can be assembled by one person despite 3 men required as per instruction. Big enough t accommodate table for 6-8 people

Just what we expected.
Pergola was what I expected. Delivery was great. Took two of us about 4 hours to put together. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is I am 5'6" but have to stand on a stool in order to secure canopy when I open it and again when I loosen screw to release it. Also the instructions didn't address the elastics located on awning where poles are inserted. We just winged it. Otherwise I am happy with my purchase as I have been previously. Thanks

Very sturdy, love the retractable curtain/roof. Material for roof is very thin, works well as a sun blocker, but has not waterproof coating on the thin flimsy nylon material. I've bought water proof spray, but as unit is already assembled, this will be tricky to waterproof now. I would suggest you spray the waterproof on BEFORE you hang curtain. Curtain is so thin that even a heavy dew at night will drip through the nylon curtain. Very disappointed about that. Also, when rain is forecasted, I 'open'...
